SonderMind adds more than 100 therapists to its already established 1,000 plus therapist network

DENVER - SonderMind Inc., headquartered in Denver, CO, announced today their expansion into the Ohio market. The SonderMind platform will enable Ohio residents to more seamlessly match with mental health professionals who can meet their specific needs. In addition, therapists on the SonderMind platform can more easily take health insurance and manage their client caseloads, both virtually and in person. This strategic development is part of SonderMind’s mission to make mental healthcare more accessible, approachable and utilized more broadly across the United States.

Clients who engage with a SonderMind therapist will have the option to use the company’s telehealth platform or participate in in-person therapy visits. In-person therapy visits will depend on local and state health advisories regarding social distancing during COVID-19.

“We are thrilled to expand into a new state to bring the unparalleled services of SonderMind to new patients and new therapists alike,” said Mark Frank, co-founder and chief executive officer of SonderMind. “There is an essential need for mental healthcare in the U.S., and we are pleased to be in a position to help facilitate access to that care in Ohio. In the near term, we hope to expand to other states in the Midwest.”

Since its founding in Denver, SonderMind significantly expanded its business into Texas and Arizona last year and has developed a large footprint of mental health professionals in their active markets. The growing group of SonderMind therapists in Ohio currently accept insurance from United, Anthem, Cigna and Bright Health, in addition to select instances of self-payment.

“Ohio, like the rest of the country, has been hit hard by COVID-19, and has never before seen the need for mental healthcare so clearly,” said Brannan Schell, Chief Development Officer. “I’m pleased to be leading a group of Ohio-based mental healthcare professionals who are committed to both making their care more accessible and innovating how and where they provide this critical care.”
