As a therapist, finding the right clients can often be a nuanced (and taxing) process. To provide the best possible care, you must take into account your desired schedule and expertise, as well as a client’s preferences and circumstances.
At SonderMind, we’re committed to giving you all the information you need to connect with the right clients successfully. Discover how our matching capabilities makes it easy for you to:
When a client first reaches out to SonderMind, they complete an intake form with basic information that includes their contact and insurance information, location, availability, reasons for seeking therapy, and therapist preferences.
Our matching team uses this information to match the client to at least two providers. The provider will reach out using in-portal messaging, calls, and/or texts to connect with the match. After the provider and client decide if it’s a good match, together they can decide when to schedule the first appointment.
Clients are matched based on their schedules, insurance, location, preferred session type, provider specialties, and provider preference on working with specific client populations.
Your profile is the first impression you make on a new client and can affect whether or not they decide to schedule an appointment. Make sure the information on your profile is accurate and up-to-date. You’ll want your picture to be recent, professional, and friendly. Your bio should be brief and approachable, reflecting your experience and interests.
The SonderMind onboarding coaching team will provide full support on how to optimize your profile and client matches. If you’re a SonderMind provider, you can also access our webinar, Improving Your Online Therapist Profile, for additional tips and tricks.
Let's face it. Some relationships just aren't a good match. Having multiple options — and an option to rematch — is important for a client to maintain autonomy over their mental health care journey. It's also important for you because you get to engage with clients who fit your preferences.
No. It is the client’s responsibility to have payment information uploaded into their portal. Once you can contact a client, their insurance and payment information should be ready to go.
