Hello, I'm Phyllis. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working as both an inpatient and outpatient therapist, providing support to children, adolescents, and adults. My journey into therapy began after a fulfilling career as a corporate paralegal and writer, which has given me a unique perspective on the challenges and transitions life can bring. I specialize in relationship issues, stress management, and anger management. Relationships can be intriguing, insightful, and meaningful, but they can also be destructive, miserable, and toxic. They involve sacrifice, purposeful work, and can significantly impact our quality of life. My goal is to help you navigate these complexities, enriching your relationships and enhancing your stress management skills. In our sessions, I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to teach, help, and facilitate the process of modifying negative thinking and behavior patterns. Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions, or seeking support as a military veteran, I am here to guide you through it. I also offer parenting and anger management classes to provide additional support and tools for those areas of your life. I believe in the power of therapy to bring about meaningful change and am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. Together, we can work towards your goals and help you achieve a more fulfilling and balanced life. If you're ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to create the positive changes you seek.
